lovers and mothers buzz
late summer bees
turning toward an unruly and,
slightly wilted summer sun.
flowers in hand.
smiles on faces.
"smile for the camera."
sweaty photographers
haul equipment
back and forth as they
scream into a virgin blue sky
empty eyes wide open.
when did this overpopulated
flowerbed
become a tourist attraction?
I had to laugh - this reminded me so much of my partner trying to take a proper photo surrounded by tourists with little cameras getting in his way....
