my word for 2012

this year my word is opportunities;
one i seized upon immediately,
knowing my proclivity for letting them pass me by;
too tired or afraid to take chances.
as i approach my 60th birthday, i do not want to slow the pace of my life,
or my thoughts, or my learning.
i want to let opportunities spill into the crooks and crannies of my years
creating a wonderful mosaic of
a life lived with joy and intent:
an opportunities filled life.
